Religious Education

“Every child deserves the opportunity to develop a relationship with God.”

Religious Education is a program ministry within the parish that strives to accompany school aged children and youth, together with their families, in developing their relationship with God.  Catechists guide these children in deepening their knowledge, understanding and experiences of the faith.  Parents are encouraged and nurtured in taking the lead in living the faith in the home and everyday life of the family.  In the words of Pope Francis, “How precious is the family as the privileged place for transmitting the faith.”  On this faith journey, we work with the children and families in preparing them to celebrate the sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation.
